On the morning of July 26, Gia Định Stadium was already buzzing with excitement. All 32 teams, representing businesses and corporate partners, gathered in full force, ready for a day of fierce competition. After a brief yet solemn opening ceremony, the group-stage matches officially kicked off in a round-robin format, where strong contenders gradually emerged with each match.

The weather was perfect – not too sunny, not rainy – as if nature itself was cheering for a day of vibrant football. From the stands, cheers echoed continuously. The BMT supporter squad stood out not only for their passionate and respectful cheering but also for their sportsmanship – always supporting both sides and promoting fair play. The organizing committee gave special praise to BMT’s “wonderfully enthusiastic and lovable supporters.”

On the pitch, Team BMT delivered an impressive run. Entering the tournament with high determination, the red-clad players showcased unity and composure. From the group stage, BMT secured consecutive victories to advance to the Quarterfinals, where they defeated the host team SC in a thrilling match to move into the Semifinals.

In the Semifinal clash with the strong contender Wanek Furniture, BMT struck first with a stunning goal from player No. 7 – Mạnh Việt Hưng, igniting a roar from the crowd. However, Wanek responded swiftly, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to level the score at 1-1. The match was then decided by a dramatic penalty shootout. Unfortunately, in the final kick, luck was not on BMT’s side. The team ended their journey at the Semifinals – filled with regret, yet full of pride.

“The semifinal had my heart racing every minute. The BMT players fought so bravely, and regardless of the result, we’re proud of our team!”
– A BMT supporter

Wanek Furniture moved on to the Final, facing off against Scavi. The championship match was intense and tightly contested, ultimately ending with a narrow victory for Scavi. With that, Scavi was crowned champion of SC Cup 2025 and will represent the tournament on a trip to the United Kingdom, a prestigious reward sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank.

Though BMT missed out on the trip to the land of mist, they undoubtedly earned admiration: they played with heart, unity, and unwavering perseverance. That is the true spirit of BMT – courageous, gracious, and constantly striving forward.

“We followed the team from morning till the final whistle – not missing a moment. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful and emotional sports day!”
